About Sunwave Wound Care

Our story

Born in the operating room, built for the living room

Dr. Brian Goldman spent years as an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist. In surgery and clinic alike, he kept meeting the same patient: someone with a chronic wound that was quietly getting worse — not because good treatment didn’t exist, but because getting to it was too hard.

Limited mobility, no transportation, a spouse who couldn’t be left alone — the obstacles were rarely medical. So he flipped the model. Instead of asking fragile patients to come to the medicine, Sunwave brings the medicine to them: assessment, debridement, advanced dressings, and the latest biologics, delivered at the bedside.

Today the Sunwave team drives thousands of miles across South and Southwest Florida every month, visiting private homes, condos, assisted living communities, and skilled nursing facilities.

Meet the founder

Dr. Brian Goldman

Sunwave was started by local surgeon Dr. Brian Goldman. He saw first-hand how tough it could be for someone with a chronic wound to get the specialized attention they need at home. His background in surgery gives him a thorough understanding of anatomy and wound healing, but he is just as focused on clear communication and a treatment plan suited to the person. When he is not in practice, you might find him walking the Pondhawk trail in Boca Raton or strolling along the beach.
